Our go-to spot for potato greens, cassava leaf, plantains and fufu. I finally decided to leave a review since they've updated the inside since my last visit. I like it! Honorable mentions: their salmon, jollof rice, chuck rice and snapper are really good! -1 star because they've ran out of what I want every now and then lol

I've been on a quest to get back to the roots and eat some African food! I'm glad that I was able to eat at Soul of Africa after being highly recommended. Let me start by saying this, do not expect high levels of customer service. When I arrived, they were having some issues with POS system. I waited several mins prior to someone speaking to me and asking to take my order. Nonetheless, the gentleman here was t super talkative but was nice. Okay onto the food. If there one thing to take away from this review: BE CAREFUL WITH THE HIGH SAUCE. This not American high sauce, this shit is no joke. Try a dab before you sprinkle it onto your food or it could potentially ruin your meal. Jallof Rice - I thought it would have been a little bit more flavorful but it was tasty Red Snapper - BOMB! Cooked to perfection I would 100% order again Plantains (not show ) - also delicious. I'd definitely Rec commend and I look forward to going back and trying some other authentic African dishes.

On a hot, draining day, I set out to eat something from every section in this menu. Here is my story. On UberEats, this place was easily a 20 minute drive, but it was quickly accepted and the food came within the allotted time. Jallof rice and lamb- rice was delicious and plentiful- came in a giant warm tray. Lamb was just a tiny corner of the pan, so portions might've been small, but understandable. Lamb was flavorful. Red oil, potato greens and rice- Had an odd flavor to it, a little strong for my taste. But the greens and oil tasted good, just the smell was strong, so beware. The peanut butter soup and fufu was amazing. I couldn't get enough of it. It changed my mind about cooking and combining flavors, and I think it had fish in it, even though I asked for beef in it. Still tasted good. Goat and plantains had a similar issue as the lamb- a huge portion of attieke but not so much meat. Portions of carbs are large to make up for the little bit of meat. Personally, I'd rather pay less for the meat with a lot less carbs. I could never finish that much rice! They were out of rice bread, a dessert that I ordered, so I subbed it out for a soda. Overall, miscommunication and changed orders knocked it down a peg, but this place was fresh, fast, and I would highly recommend for someone trying to eat some new food and splurge a little bit.
